The most important thing you can do for your kids is to treat them like a human being.
If you want them to like you, you have to treat their emotions as well.
Don’t let their emotions drive them.
Donot try to be the boss of them.
If they need you to do something, you need to be there.
If your kids are struggling with a new book or if you just feel overwhelmed with how much their needs are being met, talk to them.
They may be in a better place if you tell them the truth about the book and explain how the book is helping them.
If you have a kid who doesn’t like a certain book, or you have kids who don’t like anything, share your story.
Share your story, so they can hear it.
You don’t have to tell them everything, but you have the power to make a difference if you share your experience.
If a friend of yours shares your story with you, tell them to check it out, too.
Your kids might learn something from that.
